You Better Hurry, While You Can!

I went out for a three mile jog this past Sunday afternoon.  It was a beautiful afternoon.  After I started jogging I met

a 92 year old woman walking with a cane.  She looked at me and said these words, "You Better Hurry, While You Can!"

We both keep going in our own direction.  I have thought about what she said several times since Sunday.  What she said

made a lot of sense.  We often wait.  Sometimes too long.

While You Can;

1.  Take a walk in a different place.

2.  Take a walk during Thanksgiving week with your family.

3.  Take your walking shoes if you go out of town.

4.  Exercise early.

5.  Exercise late.

6.  Turn off the TV and do something else.

7.  Ride your bicycle.  Put some air in the tires first.

8.  Try some stretching.

9.  Read the book you have been putting off.

10. Make exercise and wellness a treat and not a treatment.

Take the advice of a 92 year old woman, "You Better Hurry, While You Can!"
