Going With the Flow?
Take a close look at the following two pictures. They were taken on the Chipola River in Marianna, Florida, in the summer of 2007. Along with a couple of friends we have kayaked a total of 40 miles on this pristine, calm, relaxing but sometimes turbulent river. |

Life get that way sometimes. Sometimes all we want to do is go with the flow. We take the easy way or the quickest way. Have you ever tried heading upstream? Have you thought about trying something different. Your heading up stream might just be; 1. A new exercise routine or trying a different exercise in a different place. 2. Limiting your sugar intake. 3. Eating more fruits or vegetables. 4. Cutting back on french fries. 5. Cutting back on TV. 6. Getting enough rest. 7. Drinking more water. 8. Exercising on your next vacation. 9. Getting up early to exercise. 10. Trying a new Wellness idea for the first time! Well, we stayed at this one spot for well over one hour. I took out my diving mask and snorkel and had a blast! One of our buddies turned over two times trying to head up stream. I lost a $100.00 phone. We looked for arrowheads and pre-historic sharks teeth. We ate lunch, tried off and finished the last 10 miles. We headed downstream but really upstream because we had a lot of fun together trying something we had never tried before.
Remember heading upstream can be different for all of us.
