Have You Tried a Pedometer?

A pedometer is a simple measuring device that counts the number of steps that you take.  They have become very popular in the last few years.  The price range is from $10.00 and up.   It can be interesting to see how many steps you take or not take every day.

Pedometers:

Take a look at this site called, “Before You Buy a Pedometer” from Wendy Bumgardner.

Here’s an example of a Pedometer that is very popular.

When you start to use your pedometer:

1.  Start at an easy pace.

2.  Increase your distance slowly.

3.  Find someone to walk with you.

4.  Walk in the building after the students leave.

5.  Buy one for yourself and let the student of the day wear one.

6.  Work up to a goal of 10,000 steps.
